St. George is in Aleutians West census area.  The latitude of Saint George is 56.6N. The longitude is -169.541W. St. George Island has perhaps the largest seabird colony in the northern hemisphere.  2.5 million seabirds nest on the 1,000-foot cliffs each summer.  In addition, an estimated 250,000 seals congregate in four major rookeries on the island.  According to State of Alaska estimates, the population is about 188.
